Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen has spoken out for the first time about the death of her mother, Vania Nonnenmacher, who was being treated for a serious illness. Vania passed away at the age of 75, after a hospital stay.
Gisele shared a text on her social media profile, and paid tribute to her mother. “It hurts to know that I won’t be able to hug you anymore,” the model said. In her text, Gisele emphasizes her mother’s kindness and the gratitude she feels for being her daughter. “Thank you for being the greatest example of love, strength, compassion, courage and grace,” she said.
“Your love will always guide us,” Gisele concluded. Friends and family of the model showed support and were sorry for what happened. Gisele’s mother passed away in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In addition to the model, they say goodbye to Vania, the twin sister of Gisele, Patricia, Rafaela, Raquel, Graziela and Gabriela, as well as her husband, Valdir.
