Julia Garner will play the female version of the Silver Surfer in ‘Fantastic Four’

Julia Garner will play Shalla-Bal, the female version of the Silver Surfer in the new “Fantastic Four” film.

The actress, who won three Emmys for “Ozark” and was also nominated for “Inventing Anna”, can also be seen in “The Assistant” and is on the rise. 

In addition to this new version of the “Fantastic Four”, she has other projects lined up, such as the horror “The Wolfman”, for Blumhouse and Universal, and the thriller “Apartment 7A”, for Paramount.

In the comics, Shalla-Bal is the empress of Zenn-La and romantic partner of Norrin Radd, the classic Silver Surfer, herald of Galactus created by Jack Kirby in the 1960s. However, for this new film, this story must change. The information is from Deadline.

The film is directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), and Josh Friedman (Avatar: The Way of Water) is responsible for the script for “Fantastic Four”, which is scheduled for release on July 25, 2025.
