Singer Meghan Trainor took to social media to apologize to all teachers following a controversial speech she made during an interview. At the time, Meghan was talking to the host of a podcast about motherhood and education, and ended up cursing at teachers.

The speeches took place during the podcast ‘Workin on it’, led by Daryl Sabara. The subject was motherhood, education and the violent situation that affects U.S. schools, such as shootings and bombings. In the middle of her speech, Meghan ended up cursing teachers, and went public to apologize for it.

She said she used the wrong words, and that she believes very much in education and the performance of teachers. “I’m sorry for being careless with my words. I love teachers and I’m here for you. Let’s work together to make schools a better place,” she said. She explained that she doesn’t feel like she explained in the interview, and said that everything students and teachers are being forced to face is not normal.
