‘I’m not giving up this fight,’ says Nikki Haley after defeat in South Carolina

Shortly after losing the primaries to Donald Trump in South Carolina this Saturday (24), Nikki Haley stated that she will not give up.

“I will not give up this fight when the majority of Americans disapprove of Donald Trump and Joe Biden.”

With this, Trump’s victory consolidates the former American president’s advantage in the dispute to be the Republican Party’s candidate for President of the United States in the election that takes place in November.

“America will fall apart if we make the wrong choices,” Nikki added. She said she does not believe that Trump will surpass Democrat Joe Biden, the current president, and that almost every day he pushes people away.

Furthermore, Haley also acknowledged that she lost by a large margin, but stated that “40% is not a tiny group.” She argued that although she lost four states to the former president, there are many others who have not yet voted.

Nikki, who was governor of South Carolina, congratulated Trump on his victory and thanked family members for their support. “No matter the results, I love the people of our state. I love what we accomplished together and I love how we came together during our worst challenges and tragedies.”

“Anyway, thank you. I feel blessed tonight. Even when it’s been hard.”
