President Donald Trump said the midterm election results were affected by the fact that his name was not on the ballot.

“If my name had been on the ballot, we would have won by a landslide,” Trump wrote in a social media post early Wednesday, Nov. 4.

Projections indicated that Trump’s party would lose control of both the House and the Senate. At the time of the report, Democrats had won 46 Senate seats, compared with 39 for Republicans.

All seats in the House were up for election. The count stood at 114 seats for Democrats and 65 for Republicans.
