Princess Kate Middleton revealed this Friday (22), in an announcement broadcast on social media, that she has cancer. She said she is undergoing chemotherapy sessions.
In a 2 minute and 20 second video, Kate said that she underwent surgery.
“I wanted to thank you for the messages of support. It has been a very difficult few months for our family. I thank my medical team. In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery and at the time it was thought that my condition was not cancer”.
“The surgery was successful, however tests after the operation noted that there was cancer. My medical team advised that I undergo preventive chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of this treatment.”
She completed:
“We need time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. I need to focus on making a full recovery.”
Kate did not give any further details about the illness.
Kate Middleton’s health status was already the subject of strong speculation and even became the subject of conspiracy theories.
As a result, the palace had not previously informed her that she would undergo an operation and also did not give any details about what the procedure was.
After the surgery, the Princess of Wales had to spend 13 days in a London hospital. And, even after being discharged, he was advised by his doctor to remain at home and away from his official schedule until after Easter.
Just last Saturday (16), Kate Middleton was seen in public for the first time since her abdominal surgery, according to the website TMZ, which revealed a video on Monday (18) in which she appears walking smiling alongside William.
