Biden and Trump exchange attacks after Super Tuesday results

Joe Biden and Donald Trump exchanged criticism and accusations after the release of the first “Super Tuesday” results. This Tuesday (5), voters from more than 15 North American states went to the polls to choose who they want to run for the White House in the 2024 presidential election.

As a result, both Biden and Trump are favorites and their candidacies are practically underway within the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively.

Trump, who was president of the United States between 2017 and 2021, gave a speech after winning most of the states where Republican primaries took place this Tuesday.

He stated that if he had not lost the 2020 election to Biden, Ukraine and Israel would not have been invaded. He also stated that the United States would not be fighting inflation.

The former president also accused the Biden administration of destroying the country by opening the borders to immigrants and said that the United States has become a joke in the international community.

“He is the worst president in the history of our country. […] All the problems we have today, I don’t think we would have. I think we would be successful,” he said.

On the other hand, the current president, Joe Biden, did not give a speech, but published a statement on Tuesday night. He stated that Americans have made their choices clear and praised his government’s achievements.

The Democrat also said that Trump’s return to the White House would represent a risk and that the Republican has a rollback plan.

“If Donald Trump returns to the White House, all this progress will be at risk,” he said. “He is driven by hurt and deceit, focused on his own revenge, not the American people.”

On a social network, Biden also stated that each generation of Americans will face a time when they will have to defend democracy. “This is our fight,” he concluded.
