The sequel to the acclaimed series of the group of friends set in the 70s is already in production. “That ‘90s show” will have the children of the main couple in the series as the protagonists and will be set in the 90s, as the name implies. Most actors from the original series will participate in this sequel.
According to Variety, the series will air on Netflix, and actors like Topher Grace, Laura Prepom, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis and Wilmer Valderrama, will make special appearances. The actor Kurtwood Smith and Debra Jo Rupp will also be present playing their old characters Red and Kitty Forman. For now, the comedy will have 10 episodes, which have already been ordered from Netflix. The show will tell the story of Eric and Donna’s daughter: Leia Forman, played by Callie Haverda. She will visit her grandparents and meet the new generation of Point Place, under Kitty and Red’s eagle eyes.
In addition to the cast of actors from the original series being in the Spin-off, the technical staff will also be in weight. The original creators Bonnie Turner and Terry Turner, with their daughter Lindsey Turner will be on the show as writers and executive producers.
