An Oklahoma mother was sentenced to seven life terms for negligence after her 11-year-old daughter gave birth following rape by the girl’s stepfather, who was married to the mother. The sentence was announced Friday, Oct. 30.
The girl was rescued in August 2025, shortly after giving birth at home in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
DNA tests identified Dustin Walker, the girl’s stepfather, as the baby’s father. Walker confessed to the crime and was also sentenced to life in prison.
Prosecutors alleged that the mother knew her daughter was being abused. The girl had received no prenatal care and was not under a doctor’s supervision, and the family’s home had no running water. In Brazil, cases of violence against children and teenagers can be reported to Disque 100.
