Kirsten Dunst says she would do more superhero films: “they pay well and I have 2 children”

Date:

In an interview with Marie Claire, actress Kirsten Dunst (Mary Jane from the 2000s Spider-Man trilogy) said that she would return to making hero films. According to her, the reason is simple: bills to pay.

The actress, who after Sam Raimi’s trilogy worked with Sofia Coppola, Lars von Trier, Jane Campion and other renowned directors, never appeared in productions linked to Marvel characters again.

But, according to her, it wasn’t for lack of will. “I would go back (to superhero movies), because you get a lot of money, and I have two kids and a mom to help,” Dunst said.

With this, Dunst is currently preparing for the release of his new film, Civil War, a feature by Alex Garland (Ex Machina) co-starring Wagner Moura that takes place in a dystopian future in which the United States is in conflict: 19 States have seceded from the Union, and there is a clash between the Western Forces of Texas and California and the military power of the American federal government.

Dunst plays a photojournalist who must navigate the dangers of this new US political landscape alongside a colleague played by Moura. Nick Offerman (Parks & Recreation) plays the American president, while Jesse Plemons (Fargo) is a soldier who crosses paths with the protagonists.
