The 2022 Emmy nominations were revealed last Tuesday (12), and for the first time, they were released without separation of platform of origin. The show with the most nominations was “Succession”, with 25. In second, “Ted Lasso”, with 20, and “The white Lotus”, with 20 as well. The HBO/HBO MAX platform led this year’s nominations, with 140. With 108 for HBO, and 32 for HBO MAX.

Soon after, Netflix appeared with 105 nominations. In general, in recent years HBO has been the leader in nominations. Faced with this competition, the Television Academy decided to prioritize the TV shows themselves. Therefore, the focus is on the names of the shows, and not on their platform of origin. Also, some criteria and rule changes were included this year. For example, if a film is included in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, it will be recognized as a motion picture rather than a TV film, making it ineligible for an Emmy.

The awards will be segmented by gender. The ceremony will take place on September 12, broadcast on NBC and Peacock, at 5 pm. The event host has not yet been named. Here are the 2022 Emmy nominations:
